Using intuition to profile men is a skill worth developing. After learning about the rise of lonely single men last week, it’s imperative to learn how to spot toxic men.
In today’s episode, I address the importance of trusting your gut and how to develop this skill. As a part of my therapy and personal development, using intuition to profile men is a talent I acquired naturally.
What Does Profiling Men Mean?
Now, when I say “profile men,” I’m not referring to their dating profiles on dating apps.
I’m talking about building a collection of information on a man based on your intuition and your observations of his actions, behaviors, body language, interaction with others, and the energy he exudes.
This assembly of information is what you use to build a profile of him, how you identify and define him. And it’s what you use to decide whether or not you want to engage with him, give him your phone number, date him, etc.
How It Happened to Me
It was after months of therapy, healing, transforming, and expanding that I discovered I was organically engaging in this process with no forethought or premeditation.
I was just going out and about. Living my life. Putting myself out there. After having just ended a month of dating someone special, but someone who wasn’t as compatible as I would have liked, I remained open to dating healthy, balanced men and still hoping to meet someone with relationship potential.
Suddenly, I found myself being able to read a person, especially men, within seconds of interacting with them.
It was SO weird. I felt like I had developed some sort of psychic ability. But it wasn’t as mystical as all that. It was my intuition at work.
My intuition operated no differently than my other senses: my vision, my hearing, my sense of smell, and my abilities to taste and touch.
When I discussed it with my therapist, that’s when she told me, “You’re profiling men.”
How Using Intuition to Profile Men Works
- You need to be in the state of mind and being where you have healed from, or are healing from, and have moved on from past traumas and grief. Being in the midst of grief and/or trauma mucks up your ability to be intuitive.
- Remain sober when interacting with men you want to profile. Alcohol and drugs interrupt one’s ability to listen to their instinct.
- Let your intuition run wild and trust everything it tells you, no matter how outrageous and without any tangible evidence.
